Travel Film: Hidden Treasures Europe to the Max:Dublin and Beyond
Monday, June 3 at 1 p.m.  
Join travel expert Rudy Maxa as he explores Dublin, Ireland's urban core, along with the hillsides of Glendalough, and the Hill of Tara, home of the ancient Irish kings. Moving along to the west coast we start in Galway, head south to Burren, the lush forests of Killarney and tour the stunning Dingle Peninsula. Have Dance, Will Travel! with Troupe Namaste
Thursday, June 13 at 7 p.m.
We kick off our summer reading program, Have Book—Will Travel! with a world dance tour! Troupe Namaste and Namaste Roses will perform a variety of dance styles, including Middle Eastern dances, Turkish, Greek, and Gypsy Rom, often using finger cymbals, veils, and swords during their performance. The Last Station. A look at the final days of literary icon Leo Tolstoy. Having renounced his title and property, he plans to donate his royalties to the Russian people. His outraged wife wages a one-woman war to challenge her husband's outrageous act of idealism even as his assistant woos a free-spirt, putting Tolstoy's notion of ideal love to the ultimate test. Travel to the Lands Down Under
Monday, June 17 at 1 p.m.
Join District 214 Community Education Travel Manager Linda Kerr as she shares her adventure to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji in a picturesque slide lecture. Hear about her memorable experience with the Aborigines in the Outback of Australia, the 4x4 Land Rover Tour through "Middle Earth" in New Zealand and the touching salute from the Fijian Guide to all Americans. This picturesque slide lecture is a great way to visit the other side of the world without the sixteen hour flight! A drawing will also be held for a free CET Day Trip. New York In Bloom
Wednesday, June 26 at 7 p.m.
New York City isn't all concrete and skyscrapers. When you know where to look, you'll discover flowers and trees everywhere. Join world traveler Nancy McCully as we explore rooftops, office buildings, parks, and museums searching for what's in bloom. We will visit Rockefeller Center, the Cloisters, Central Park, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Wave Hill, New York Botanical Garden, and Grounds for Sculpture.
