75th Anniversary: The Airborne on D-Day Thursday, June 6, 1:00 - 2:30 pm Join historian and local author Robert Mueller as we relive the preparation and achievement of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions who, in the early hours of June 6, 1944, performed the most hazardous of military operations-dropping paratroopers into enemy territory. This slide presentation reviews the reasons for selecting Normandy as the invasion site and the critical role played by American Airborne forces in its successful outcome. A Wheeling High School alum, Bill has been featured nationally and internationally on every major television network and has appeared on NBC's The Today Show, Wizard Wars, Penn & Teller's Fool Us, and on Extra with Mario Lopez.
