In conjunction with the library’s mission to support lifelong learning, the Hershey Public Library hosts a variety of classes for adults. Participation in most of the classes involves a fee* which covers all of the classes in the series and is determined by the instructor. The library does not keep any part of the fee. If you are interested in enrolling in any of the classes, you must stop by the Circulation Desk to pick up the packet for the particular class. Upon completion of the registration form and submission of the fee made payable to the designated individual, you will be considered to be enrolled in the class. Some classes are limited in size. They will be filled on a first come, first served basis. The classes are open to individuals 18 and older unless otherwise noted. *Fees will not be reimbursed after the first class. September 25, 7PM – 8PM Raising Money-Savvy Kids; Embracing Your Role as Chief Financial Parent. The Hershey Public Library and Steven Ginter, Associate Vice President & Financial Advisor, Morgan Stanley are presenting a four-part financial education series, in hopes of making reliable, unbiased information available to our community. Author, journalist and editor, David Howard will present details from his book, “Chasing Phil: The Adventures of Two Undercover Agents with the World’s Most Charming Con Man.” It is the thrilling true crime caper bursting with colorful characters and awash in ‘70s glamour that spotlights the FBI's first white-collar undercover sting. Sunday, September 16 at 2:00 p.m. Take a Walk on the Wild Side: Plants. Presented by the Manada Conservancy. Ever wondered what’s going on in the lawn in front of the library? Come learn about riparian buffers and why they are important for our community. Then take a walk on the wild side and learn about the hard-working plants that make their home there. After the program, take a “field trip” down to the riparian buffer and see what’s “growing on”! From Power Library Check out GREENR, one of the awesome new E-Resources from Power Library. It offers researchers an interdisciplinary resource for environment and sustainability studies. GREENR provides news, background information, video, commentaries, primary source documents and statistics in relevant topic areas such as energy systems, healthcare, food, climate change, population, and economic development.
