A "Wilder" Garden Sunday, March 24 at 2:00 pm Come explore a "Wilder" garden with Marta McDowell. Marta shares her love of horticulture and garden history through the written and spoken word. Marta’s latest book, The World of Laura Ingalls Wilder, tells the tale of the plants and places of the beloved author of the Little House series. Books will be signed and sold. Adult Storytime Saturday, March 2 at 2:00 pm Emily Fortney returns to read more from Arthur Conan Doyle's "The Hound of the Baskervilles". Find out what Sherlock Holmes is up to next! Registration is not required. This program is suitable or an audience age 18 and up. Registration is not required. Adult Enrichment Classes During March, the library offers a variety of learning opportunities. Please register in person at the library, and click the link to a class for details. Learn Italian, Fresh Flower Arranging, Fused Glass Class (Necklace or Mosaic Dish), Creative Nonfiction Writing, Chickadees on Wood Painting, Etched Brown Egg Painting, Spring Container Garden, Fused Glass (Coral Bowl or Necklace), and Card Making. Reading Programs The library's adult reading program and the young adult reading program both end on March 31. Please submit your brochure and your raffle tickets for the adult reading program, Clue, and complete the tasks for the young adult reading program to be eligible for prizes. Second Saturday Saturday, March 9 at 1:30 pm Second Saturday is a literacy-based program encouraging reading, talking, playing, singing and writing for families with in young children ages 3 to 5. This month, Jackie Sisco presents Design It: with experiment centers exploring the basics of building; foundations and stable structures from LEAP into Science. How to Build a Storm Sunday, March 10 at 2:00 pm The Franklin Institute reveals the science of weather. Where does our weather come from, and what factors make it a sunny day or a blustery one? We’ll make a cloud, explore thunder and lightning, create snow, and demonstrate the power of a tornado! Registration is not required for this Friends Children's Series Program.
