Preview night - Friday, August 4, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Regular Book Sale hours operate during normal library hours. Saturday, August 5 to Thursday, August 10. Proceeds from the book sale benefit children's and adult programming at the library. Sorry, no more books can be donated for sale until after Labor Day weekend. (Preview night is for Friends Members. Renew your membership or join to take advantage of the best deals of the sale!)

"Tommy and Me" with Ray Didinger

Sunday, July 16. 2:00 pm. to 3:00 p.m. Come and hear the story of a longtime friendship that began in 1957, as Ray Didinger speaks about his experiences with Eagles great Tommy McDonald that began in Hershey at the Eagles training camp. It is a heart-warming story and last year Ray wrote a play about it, Tommy and Me. He was named Pennsylvania Sportswriter of the Year five times by the National Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association. Register online, or call (717) 533-6555.

LEAP into Science: The Eclipse (Family Program)

Monday, August 21. 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Join us for fun optics and astronomy centers while we wait for the perfect time to view the solar eclipse. Even though we are not in the path of the total eclipse, we will still see a shadow over the sun. The next solar eclipse over the continental U.S. isn't until April 2024! Saturday, August 26. 2:30 p.m. tp 4:30 p.m. Let's end the summer with some family reading fun! Meet us for stories at 2:30 p.m. When the library closes at 3 p.m., registered families may use materials from home to create reading forts in the library.
