Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all of FCPL's programs have been cancelled, so unfortunately, we don't have any upcoming film screenings. However, library locations have reopened to the public on a limited basis, with limited building capacity. As long as folks wear their masks and observe proper social-distancing guidelines, they are welcome to visit their local library branch for a period of half an hour during the following windows of time: Monday - Wednesday: 10 am - 7 pm Thursday - Friday: 10 am - 5 pm Saturday: 10 am - 2 pm We are also operating a to-go service for folks who would like to pick up their holds, but are uncomfortable entering the building. Simply place your desired items on hold, either online at forsythlibrary.org or by giving us a call. Once you've been notified your materials are available, swing by your default pick-up location during the following windows of time and take your items from the cart outside: Monday - Wednesday: 10 am - 7 pm Thursday - Friday: 10 am - 6 pm Saturday: 10 am - 2 pm As always, you're also welcome to use our numerous online resources. Black Panther
After the death of his father, T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy (Michael B. Jordan) suddenly reappears, T'Challa's mettle as king -- and as Black Panther -- gets tested when he's drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people. This film costars Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, and Forest Whitaker and was directed by Ryan Coogler.

In 1946, Branch Rickey (Harrison Ford), legendary manager of the Brooklyn Dodgers, defies major league baseball's notorious color barrier by signing Jackie Robinson (Chadwick Boseman) to the team. Facing open racism from all sides, Robinson demonstrates true courage and admirable restraint by not reacting in kind and lets his talent silence the critics for him.

Get On Up
James Brown (Chadwick Boseman) was born in extreme poverty in 1933 South Carolina and survived abandonment, abuse and jail to become one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. He joined a gospel group as a teenager, but the jazz and blues along the "chitlin' circuit" became his springboard to fame. Although his backup musicians came and went, Brown retained the ability to mesmerize audiences with his music, signature moves and sexual energy.
