The County of L&A Libraries, in partnership with the L&A Horticultural Society, welcomes Alexandra Risen, author of Unearthed: Love, Acceptance, and Other Lessons from an Abandoned Garden.
In this moving memoir, a woman digs into a long forgotten garden and into the past and finds secrets, beauty, and acceptance.
In addition to the author presentation, members of the Horticultural Society will be on hand to answer your gardening questions and discuss the Friends of the Library Gardeners project! Everyone is welcome to attend this free event.
NEW: Hoopla Digital for On-Demand Borrowing
Starting April 1st, County of Lennox & Addington Libraries will give users access to thousands of movies, television shows, music albums, eBooks, audiobooks and comics, all available for mobile and online access through a new partnership with Hoopla Digital.
L&A Libraries card holders can download the free hoopla digital mobile app on their Android or IOS device or visit hoopladigital.com to begin enjoying thousands of titles – from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers – available to borrow 24/7, for instant streaming or temporary downloading to their smartphones, tablets and computers. The easy-to-use interface and elimination of late fees enables us to satisfy all of our patron’s needs in a modern way.
Hoopla does not replace Overdrive, our existing eBooks/audiobook platform. Patrons can choose to use one or both platforms, however, we expect some users will naturally prefer one over the other. Find out which one is best for you here.
