First Nations Public Library Week Monday, October 5 - Saturday, October 10 Since 2000, First Nation Public Libraries have used one week of the year to raise awareness of their resources, services, programs and activities. First Nations Public Library Week is celebrated the first week of October to coincide with Canadian Library Month. First Nations Public Library Week is not only an opportunity to promote public library services but also to celebrate cultural uniqueness through creative library programming. Ontario Public Libraries Week Monday, October 19 - Saturday, October 24 October is Canadian Library Month! During this month, libraries and library partners across Canada raise awareness of the valuable role libraries play in Canadians' lives. In Ontario, we celebrate our public libraries during Ontario Public Library Week (OPLW), the third week of October.
This year we will be hosting different activities around the library, we have our very special guest Librarian who will assist you on your adventure to find some rather special and unique book displays. We will be launching our Teen and Adult Book Box Subscription Program. A library sized hopscotch around the children's department. As well as other activities and programs.

Fall Reading Program Wednesday, October 1 - November 20 Color in a book, pumpkin, or leaf each time you read for 15 or 30 minutes (depending on your age) or are read to. We want to see your finished design! Drop your completed picture off at the library and earn a prize. All participants will be entered into a draw for a $25 gift card to Looking Glass Toy and Games. All ages welcome to enter! 15 minutes for ages 0-8 30 minutes 9+ Participants can complete more than one sheet. Please pick up reading log at the front desk.

Teen and Adult Book Box Monday, October 19
A book subscription box is a quarterly box that contains a few books, plus other bookish goodies that usually pertain to that box’s theme. These book subscription boxes are handpicked from a careful staff of librarians. Thursday Story Time Thursday, October 8, 15, 22, & 29 10:30 am or 3:30 pm Zoom Join us for our weekly story time every Thursday morning! Children of all ages with parents/caregivers are welcome to join us for a story with a different theme every week! Please register at https://forms.gle/HYczMaMFWwaon8Ve6 (copy and paste into your web browser) I will email you the Zoom link to be used for the month of October. Please make sure that you change your screen name to the name submitted on the form as there will be a waiting room until I accept your request to join. This is to ensure privacy.
