“I thought that Mr. Clutter was a very nice gentleman. I thought so right up to the moment
that I cut his throat.” ― Truman Capote, In Cold Blood
From the Director's Desk
Are you interested in reading and discussing true crime books? How about mysteries or thrillers? The library wants to help you find others with the same reading interests. That is why we are inviting you to Chiller! a True Crime Book Talk on October 24 at 6:30 p.m. Jay Oliver will have several new and classic true crime books available. He will talk a bit about each title and if any book piques your interest you can check it out.
Jay will also give you a chance to meet others who are fans of true crime, mysteries or thrillers. You can talk with the group about your favorite authors and that really great book you think everyone should read. Listen to others to learn what you may have missed and to expand your reading interests.
Maybe this one evening will be all you need to jump start your reading. Maybe you’ll find you are interested in meeting monthly to discuss books. We will let you decide on the format and frequency. If several people are interested in a group, Jay will facilitate the planning and discussion. Either way Chiller! a True Crime Book Talk will be a chilling but fun October evening.
