In Mitch Albom’s newest work, a man is punished for inventing a way to tell time. God banishes the man to a cave for centuries, where he is made to listen to all people’s voices who come to him for more hours, days, years. When his spirit is almost broken, God brings Father Time back to the present day world where counting time is everything.

God gives Father Time a chance to redeem himself by teaching two modern day people the value of time. He is cast with a teen-aged girl who is about to give up on life and an old wealthy businessman who wants to live forever. To save himself, Father Time must save them both.

This is a highly imaginative and original fable that makes us rethink what we know about time and how precious it is.

"The Snow Child" is an enchanting tale set in the 20s in the Alaskan frontier. A childless couple takes on the challenge of homesteading the wilderness and coming to grips with losing their child. As the tale unfolds, the couple befriends neighbors and struggle with the reality that additional children have found their way into their lives and their hearts. A good winter weather read!
