Celebrate with a party at the end of the Reading Challenge and see some of your favorite authors at our Jax Book Fest, March 25, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., at the Main Library. More than 70 years after its horrors unfolded, the Holocaust still has stories to reveal and lessons to share. This exhibit begins to provide a portrait of the fate of Jewish lawyers in Germany—stories that speak to how the Nazis purged Jewish lawyers as one of the early steps to attack the rule of law in their country. A timely keepsake for Black History Month, the calendar also serves as a vital resource and inspiration to celebrate black history year-round. The title sponsor for the calendar is Burger King, in collaboration with Florida State College at Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Public Library, WJXT News 4 Jax and the James Weldon Johnson Branch of the Association for the Study of African-American Life and History. Author Donn R. Colee Jr. discussion: Broadcasting's Proudest Moments 317 A. Philip Randolph Blvd. Our Authors & Artists series features Donn R. Colee Jr., author of Towers in the Sand: The History of Florida Broadcasting, a comprehensive history of Florida's broadcasting industry from 1922 –2016. The book features stories from more than 80 Florida broadcasting pioneers and current leaders. It recalls hard-hitting journalism, and editorials, lifesaving moments through decades of hurricanes, and lighthearted moments with favorite personalities and promotions. Design your own 3-D object from anywhere using 3-D modeling software that you choose (there are several free, open source programs), email your design to us, and we'll print it for you. There is a small fee and you must pick up your object within 14 days. Also, if you want to learn more about 3-D printing, take one of our many 3-D design classes. You might even want to earn a Certificate of Completion in the Digital Media and Design track. Quilted by Hand Exhibit These quilts by Vicki Zoller of the All Stars Quilters Guild of Mandarin are a feast for the eyes. Quilted by hand, her motifs include hearts, bees, flowers, bows, arcs, circles, geometric designs of all kinds, numbers, alphabet, hidden words and more! There's even a quilt made of selvages. Take your time enjoying the colorful quilts. After all, the quilter spent three to nine months quilting each finished work by hand.

Wednesdays – beginning Jan. 4, 4 p.m. Every Wednesday at 4 p.m. we will set up a different gaming system, PS4, PS2, Xbox or Wii, for tournament play. Signups will start on Monday and continue until 4:15 p.m. Wednesday for the gaming bracket. Tournament play will be point based. The player with the most points at the end of the month wins a prize, has his/her picture taken, and automatically earns a seat to the end of the year Tournament of Champions event.
