DCPS students in grades K - 5 get virtual library card
JPL and Duval County Public Schools have teamed up to support educational success. Coming soon, as part of a pilot program, all DCPS students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade will receive a virtual library card. City Council may increase library hours. The City Council Finance Committee recently approved the addition of $1M to the library's budget to add 88 hours of service to libraries. The full City Council will vote on the budget Sept. 22. If the Council approves the library's budget as written, the new schedule will go into effect Nov. 14. The schedule is still being finalized so watch for an update in the October e-news.
