Join us this summer for the Community Read Outcasts United (2009-nonfiction) by Warren St. John. It is the story of a team of refugee boys, the remarkable woman who coaches them, and the town where they live, a once-sleepy southern hamlet that has been upended by the process of refugee resettlement. It's a story about the challenges posed by our quickly changing world, and one that reminds us of what is possible in this country when we put our values in action. View the Book Trailer and learn more about diversity in our community. Copies of the book will be distributed to attendees of the June discussion and limited copies available at the Centerville Reference Desk after the discussion. Those needing special accommodations should contact the Library in advance at 433-8091.
