ArrivalAfter alien ships arrive at locations around Earth, a linguist is called in to translate and understand the alien language. Maxx: Technical Services "Arrival is a great movie about humanity's first contact with aliens. Unlike most alien movies, it's not about being scary or some wacky adventure with kids, but it is a bit spooky. The movie is a mystery about why the aliens come to earth to see how the world reacts to an alien encounter."

Deepwater Horizon The story of the BP Deepwater Horizon explosion and oil spill, which took place in 2010. Jen: Technical Services
"This film is definitely action packed, and the special effects are amazing! You can't go wrong with Mark Wahlberg, Kurt Russell, John Malkovich, Gina Rodriguez, Dylan O'Brien and Kate Hudson together as a cast. It's hard to believe that the disaster happened in 2010... where did the time go?" |

AccountantWhen an accountant decides to right the wrongs of one of his clients, the United States Treasury Department closes in on his activities and seeks to bring him to justice. Dan: Page Supervisor
"I appreciated how the director pieced the movie together, going back and forth in time to tell the accountant's story as well as the older FBI agent's story. Of course it's packed with action, guns and bodies, but there is much more to this movie that makes one think about the movie's characters and their interconnection. The viewer has to pay close attention to catch all the details while sitting on the edge of their seat because of the action. Tell me, at the end did you figure out who belonged to the voice on the phone?" |

VeraVera Stanhope, a caustic, disheveled investigator, solves murders in Northumberland, England.
Jess: Adult Services "My favorite part about this show is it features normal looking people as opposed to folks that just stepped out of a fashion magazine. Vera is a gutsy, over 60, talented detective. She solves crimes with common sense and tenacity. Takes awhile to get used to her accent but once you conquer that, it is an enjoyable series."
