Lisa is a research scientist and has successfully applied her scientific research skills to genealogy for almost twenty years now, having done research in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and England. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the International Black Sheep Society of Genealogists, and First Families of Western Pennsylvania.
She has coordinated many annual reunions for her family with a different social history theme each year based on interviews with family members and photographs. Themes of the reunions have included Military Veterans, Sweethearts, School Days, My Mother, My Father, My Grandparents.
Her publications include Transcription of the Clarion County (PA) Death Register (1893-1906) and the Abstract of the Clarion County (PA) Birth Register (1893-1898). She has also been a contributor of articles such as "My Genealogy Fairy Godmother," "A Time Line as a Compass." Both of these article were contributions to the art of solving brickwall problems.
Lisa has presented frequently for FHIG, always earning a warm welcome and hearty round of applause for her thoughtful remarks, illustrated with some remarkable examples from real life..
