Blind Date with a Book All Month Long, During the month of February, we'd like to 'fix you up' with a blind date--a book of course, after all we ARE a library! We'll select a variety of books, wrap them all up in 'secretive' brown paper and you won't know the 'identity' of your blind date till you get it home. Will it be fiction or non-fiction? Funny, informative, a mystery, romance? Sure you might be disappointed; but then again ... you may end up having a great read with something you wouldn't have chosen for yourself.

'KNIT A SQUARE' is a humanitarian program benefiting AIDS orphans in South Africa. All month long we will be collecting 8-inch knitted or crocheted squares. Each square will be sent to South Africa to be used in making a blanket to keep an orphaned or abandoned child warm through the KASCARE non-profit organization. Detailed directions are available at the circulation desks.
