At the age of 16, Earl "Gus" Pratt took a 16mm camera and captured the final days of Maine's narrow gauge railroad. Volume I takes place in 1935 and includes footage of the scrapping of the Sandy river & Rangeley Lakes Railroad's Phillips and Strong, ME yards, plus the Wiscasset yards of the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway taken after they were abandoned.  Volume II includes scenes shot in 1938 in western Maine on the Bridgton & Harrison Railroad, and in 1947, capturing the first days of the Edaville Railroad.
