Martin Luther King, Jr. Storytime Monday, January 20 | 2:00 - 2:30 PM Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! Books about kindness and friendship will be featured at this storytime, and kids will also make a craft to take home.

Magic: the Gathering Tournaments Tuesday, January 28 | 4 PM - 5 PM Magic: the Gathering tournaments in the Groesbeck room. The top two winners will get prizes. Registration required.

Teen Zine Friday, February 28 | 5 PM Teens 7th - 12th Grade: We’re starting a literary arts zine! We’ll accept any form of writing or art, including things like: poems, essays, comics, photography, scans of 2-d art, or photos of 3-d art, or anything outside the box that you can create. Please submit your original work as a digital file. You can scan artwork in our computer lab.Submit your files (JPEG or PDF for images, and Word or Google Docs for written entries) by emailing them to ya@mhklibrary.org with your own name and grade level in the body of your email.

Second Sunday Music Sunday, January 12 | 1:30-2:00 PM Auditorium Join us in the auditorium for the sounds of music the second Sunday of each month, from January through May. There will be no Second Sunday Music in April, as that is Easter Sunday and the library is closed. January will feature the piano jazz of Lars Quincke.

Adult Craft Night Thursday, January 16 | 7:00-8:30 PM Groesbeck Meeting Room Light string origami. Everyone will leave with a short light string with lit origami globes. How cool is that?
