We want to thank everyone who came out to celebrate the grand opening of the Seed Library earlier this month! The event featured local master gardener Roseann Ferguson who gave participants a great lesson on seeds. We gave away two plum trees generously donated by Hope Community Garden and 10 bitter melon seedlings from the garden of Misty Maberry, a librarian from the Dallas History and Archives division. Several of you brought some wonderful seed donations which will allow the Seed Library to be sustainable. The best part of the event however, was all of the connections being made between members! We look forward to holding more events like this going forward. Please let us know if you would like to get involved by presenting on a gardening topic at a future library program!

We're in the news...
The Seed Library was featured in the Dallas Morning News this month, check it out here!
It was really fun having two of our volunteers, Anita Lee and Katelyn Smith in to package our latest donations earlier this week--including a big bag of oleander seeds that were just donated! If you're interested in becoming a volunteer, click here to apply!
Spotlight on Corn
Interested in trying something new? If you've got the space for it, we have some popcorn and sweet corn seeds in stock and right now is a great time to start thinking about planting corn!
