Virtual Volunteers
Do you know a teenager who needs volunteer hours - or maybe just looking for a way to give back?

Dallas Public Library is looking for students aged 14 and older to be part of the Teen Advisory Committee. Committee members will help create, plan and execute city-wide teen initiatives once the stay-at-home order is lifted as well as digital/virtual content for Dallas teens to take advantage of while the library is closed.

Earth Day
April 22 is the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. This week is a great time to learn about recycling, deforestation, pollution and other activities that affect the environment. Many organizations have activities and live video specials on their websites, including National Geographic and NASA.

The whole family can participate in the Earth Day Challenge - 22 actions over 22 days to make a difference. Or download the Earth Challenge 2020 app to document air quality and plastic pollution around your neighborhood.
