She showcases the legacy of influential black men and women from all over the world. Referencing blacks from countries such as Ghana, Trinidad, Mexico, and Jamaica to name of few. Among writing her non-fiction book series she illustrated for the Oscar Winning short film Hair Love by Matthew A. Cherry and illustrated the pictures for Sulwe by Lupita N'yongo, further perfecting the way young black readers from all over the world see themselves in books. While she is an incredible author she has works of art that features blacks in the likes of mermaids, wizards, royalty, and anime characters, something young readers rarely see themselves depicted as.
