Count Us In The National Audubon Society's Christmas Bird Count is an annual community science early-winter bird census. Pre-registered volunteers within 15-mile diameter circles go out for one 24 hour period to count birds. Clicking a circle on the map pops up the circle's coordinator ("compiler") email address. This four-day long bird count helps scientists better understand bird populations before spring migrations begin. No registration required - count from your own yard, nearby green spaces, or anywhere else you can find birds!
