It's time for a season of great reading, great programs and great prizes for kids, teens and adults. All programs begin June 20th. On Your Mark, Get Set... Read! (PreK - 5th Grade) June 20 at 7:00pm: Ready, Set, Read! An interactive musical performance by Dave Fry, featuring stories, songs, and instruments to share with the crowd! July 12 at 10:00am (PreK-1st Grade) and 11:15am (2nd-5th Grade): Dove Environmental Education Presents: “Lenape Living Off the Land; Songs & Wildlife Games” July 25 at 10:00am: Eyes of the Wild presents Survival of the Fittest, a wildlife show that will completely captivate and entertain. Come and meet the animals in this traveling zoo show! Get in the Game: Read! (6th-12th Grade) Teens can read during the summer and enter our raffle contests for different prizes. (Adults, 12th Grade and up) July 11 at 6:00pm: Laughter Yoga. Laughing is a vocalization that anyone can do. It relieves stress, which helps keep disease away. Laughter has both psychological and physiological health benefits. Increased oxygen intake clears the lungs and the mind. Laughter is a cardiovascular exercise, ‘internal jogging,’ that burns calories. Here is your chance try it for yourself! Cynthia Curtis from Funny Farm Laughter Club will lead a half-hour long laughter yoga session. Registration is required for this event. Join Keri Lasky-Carlos, ShopRite of Greenwich Retail Dietitian, for tips on how to do so. Keri will cover strategies to cut cost and healthier low-cost food options, and will offer prepared foods for attendees to sample. Registration is required for this event. Join us for Adult Fingerpainting at the Phillipsburg Free Public Library! The first session will be held on June 6th at 7:00pm. Our presenter, Judi Painter, has trained at the Baum Art Institute in Allentown and the Banana Factory in Bethlehem. There is no cost to participate, and materials will be provided.

Film Screening: The Danish Girl Thursday, June 16, 7:00pm After standing in as a female model for a painting by his wife Gerda (Alicia Vikander), Danish artist Einar Wegener (Eddie Redmayne) becomes enamored with his feminine identity and begins living as a woman named Lili Elbe. Although their marriage becomes strained, Gerda stands by Lili as she explores her true self and eventually undergoes one of the world's first gender-reassignment surgeries in the 1930s. This touching biopic was adapted from David Ebershoff's book of the same name, and helmed by director Tom Hooper (The King's Speech).
