We have two special events coming up in July for our Children's Summer Reading Program, On Your Mark, Get Set... Read! July 12 at 10:00am (PreK-1st Grade) and 11:15am (2nd-5th Grade): Dove Environmental Education Presents: “Lenape Living Off the Land; Songs & Wildlife Games” July 25 at 10:00am: Eyes of the Wild presents Survival of the Fittest, a wildlife show that will completely captivate and entertain. Come and meet the animals in this traveling zoo show!

Laughter Yoga Monday, July 11, 6:00pm Laughing is a vocalization that anyone can do. It relieves stress, which helps keep disease away. Laughter has both psychological and physiological health benefits. Increased oxygen intake clears the lungs and the mind. Laughter is a cardiovascular exercise, ‘internal jogging,’ that burns calories. Here is your chance try it for yourself! Save the Date: Eating on a Budget Monday, August 1, 7:00pm Is healthy eating on a budget possible? Yes it is! Join Keri Lasky-Carlos, ShopRite of Greenwich Retail Dietitian, for tips on how to do so. Film Screening: Foxcatcher Thursday, July 21, 7:00pm When wealthy John du Pont (Steve Carell) invites Olympic wrestler Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum) to move to his estate and help form a wrestling team for the 1988 Olympics, Mark sees a way to step out of the shadow of his charismatic brother, Dave (Mark Ruffalo). However, du Pont begins to lead Mark down a dark road, causing the athlete's self-esteem to slip. Meanwhile, du Pont becomes fixated on bringing Dave into the fold, eventually propelling all three toward an unforeseen tragedy. Rated R; 134 minutes. Happy Bookers Discussion: Orphan #8 by Kim van Alkemade Wednesday, July 27, 7:00pm In this historical novel inspired by true events, Kim van Alkemade tells the story of a woman who must choose between revenge and mercy when she encounters the doctor who subjected her to dangerous medical experiments in a New York City Jewish orphanage years before. In 1919, Rachel Rabinowitz is a vivacious four-year-old living with her family in a crowded New York tenement. When tragedy strikes, Rachel is separated from her brother and sent to a Jewish orphanage where Dr. Mildred Solomon is conducting medical research. Subjected to X-ray treatments that leave her disfigured, Rachel suffers cruel harassment from the other orphans.
