Saturday, April 8, 2:00pm To celebrate the MST3K reboot premiering April 14 on Netflix, we’re hosting a screening of Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie! Join Mike Nelson, Tom Servo, and Crow T. Robot as they mercilessly heckle the 1955 film This Island Earth. Rated PG-13; 74 minutes We’ll be giving out MST3K-themed prizes before and after the film, so be sure to arrive on time for your chance to win!

April 9-15 is National Library Week, a time to highlight the changing role of libraries, librarians and library workers. Coming to America: The Great Waves

Wednesday, April 12, 2:00pm Walter Choroszewski presents the history of Immigration to America from the first colonial wave through the second mid-1800s wave of frontier expansion, culminating with the third Great Wave that passed through Ellis Island Immigration Station in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. On April 22 at 11:00am, join Keith Hawk of Hawk Financial Group for a morning of FREE fun and laughter … and don’t be surprised if you learn a thing or two about retirement! On April 22 at 2:00pm, Phillipsburg Area Garden Club president Lawrie Morello will present propagation tips for plants and vegetables. On April 24 at 4:30pm, PFPL will be hosting a Small Business Workshop to educate local business owners and entrepreneurs about starting and registering businesses in the state. Laughter Yoga Monday, April 10, 3:00pm Laughing is a vocalization that anyone can do. It relieves stress, which helps keep disease away. Laughter has both psychological and physiological health benefits. Increased oxygen intake clears the lungs and the mind. Classic Book Club: I, Claudius by Robert GravesTuesday, April 11, 7:00pm Join the Classic Book Club in 2017 as we explore classic titles in genre fiction. These are books that were written for popular audiences, not scholars, but whose literary merit and entertainment value have stood the test of time.
