Music at the Monastery: The DeLoreans Thursday, July 18 at 6:30 pm. The Library is hosting its fifth annual Music at the Monastery concert series providing a free opportunity to hear some great local bands and musicians on the front lawn between the Library and the Porter’s Lodge on the Monastery Grounds. The DeLoreans are a group of 6 very talented, funny, seasoned musicians who specialize in music throughout the decades. Although the DeLoreans are a fairly newly formed collaboration, they are not new to each other or to the music scene. For the last 30 plus years most of the members have been in the many different types of bands including rock-n-roll, 80’s, 90’s, and the standards. You name it … they have done it! Thankfully with this mutual love of music, they have found that they have the best time playing these classics hits. The Deloreans are guaranteed to make for an entertaining evening! Feel free to come, dance and even sing along! Check them out on their Facebook page at https://bit.ly/2QmhZk6.

George Armstrong Custer’s U.S. Army troops at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in 1876, is among the most storied of Native Americans. But the stories have most often been told by outsiders. With their new book, “Crazy Horse: The Lakota Warrior’s Life & Legacy”, authors Edward Clown and William Matson seek to change that.
