Escape the Room Saturday, December 2nd at 1pm Join us this afternoon for an all-new escape room adventure! This a fun, interactive event that includes puzzles, a time limit, and possibly even a ghost! Can you solve the mystery and escape the room before you are locked in with the ghost of the monastery? Groups of participants will have 20 minutes to solve the mystery before the next group is ushered into the crime scene! Creepy Christmas Carols Monday, December 4th at 6:30pm Jeff Belanger is bringing you the legends and lore that put the fear into the Yuletide season. From the monsters who hunt naughty children, to the ghosts that haunt us all, this program will take you on a tour of the almost-forgotten parts of the holiday tradition. Cocoa and Paint Party! Thursday,. December 7th at 6pm Join us for a paint nite like no other!!! We will be soaking up the fall goodness with hot cocoa and tea while we paint a seasonal masterpiece! Our own Candace will guide you through the steps and before you know it you will have your own masterpiece to take home. No paint experience is necessary. Kindness Rocks Monday December 11th at 6pm Kindness Rocks have taken the nation by storm and we are ready to fill Cumberland with colorful inspiration! We will provide the paint, rocks, and brushes- the inspiration will come from you! You do not need to be an artist to make a beautiful rock! We will have samples and patterns, so whether you want to decorate your own garden, spread the joy around town, or gift them to a friend you will be sure to leave here with a good feeling and some beautiful rocks! We have the same type of rocks from the last session, but feel free to bring your own if you would like a larger or more porous rock!

Clef Singers Holiday Concert Wednesday, December 20th at 7:30pm
Join us on Wednesday, December 20th for a great evening of song and entertainment by the Cumberland High Clef Singers Chorus. This concert tradition has spanned many years and always brings a big crowd. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Cumberland Public Library. Tickets are available for $1 each at the library circulation desk. Proceeds are given to the chorus. |

Teen Volunteer Drop-In:Sat. 12/16 starting at 11 AM. Once a month from October—May, we host a no-registration-required event for teens who just need a few volunteer hours or who just want to try it out with low commitment. This month we continue our huge Lego sorting project.

Teen Volunteer Corp (TVC):Monthly meeting: Thursday 12/21 at 6:30 PM. TVC is a great option for teens who have yearly service requirements or just want to volunteer as much as possible. We hold an optional monthly meeting to plan activities, spruce up the Teen Center, and educate new members. Pick up an application at the library.
