Krafty Kids Wednesdays 11 am - 5 pm Drop In Grade Five & under Children in grades five & under are invited to drop-in and make a craft. There will be 75 crafts available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Block Party Saturdays 9:30 am- 12:30 pm Drop In All ages Come join the fun playing with building toys such as Magna-Tiles, Magz Bricks, KAPLA blocks, or LEGO bricks. All ages are welcome!

Paws to Read Thursday, April 12th 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm Drop In Readers 12 and under Want to brush up on your reading skills? Love dogs? Practice reading with a therapy dog from Windwalker Pet Therapy who loves to listen to stories!There’s nothing better than a book in your hand and a fluffy friend by your side! Participants should bring a book with them so they are ready to read to the therapy dog when it is their turn. This program is for children who are reading on their own. First-come, first-served.

Minecraft Club for Kids Thursday, April 5th and Wednesday, April 25th 6 pm - 7 pm Grades 2-5 Online registration for the May sessions opens on April 18th at 7:30 pm. Space is limited. We provide laptops, accounts, and a secure server environment in which to explore and create! Registration for each session is separate and opens the third Wednesday of each month.

Chess with Sree Tuesday, April 3rd 6 pm - 7 pm Ages 6- 12 Register online for May's chess class starting April 3rd at 7 pm. Are you interested in learning how to play chess? Maybe you know the basics of chess and are looking for other kids to play with. Join us on the first Tuesday of the month, thru May, as Sree Dasari teaches us how to play chess. Register for each month’s class individually. No experience necessary.

Harry Potter Day Saturday, April 14th 10 am-4:30 pm All Ages Drop in anytime! The library will be hosting a day-long Harry Potter event. This year our theme is "The Everyday Wizard". Cosplay and show off your favorite fandom costume. Enjoy music by Draco and the Malfoys and Lauren Fairweather, and see the URI Quidditch Team do a demonstration. Put on your wizard hat and join the fun!

Project CHICK Part Two Friday, April 20th 2-3 pm All Ages Pick up tickets in the Children's . Tickets are $0.50 Join the fun as we say goodbye to our chicks. Earth Day 2018 Monday, April 2nd or Monday, April 9th 6:30pm Ages 6-12 Pick up your tickets in the Children's Room
| We’re rolling out the GREEN carpet! Children ages 6-12 are invited to our Earth Day program. The children will have the opportunity to color a planter, learn the basics of planting seeds, and plant sunflower seeds in their planter to take home. A 30-minute session is being offered on Monday, April 2 and again on Monday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. Children can choose to attend either session. * Get your tickets early as space is limited to 20 children per session. Empowering kids can have a positive impact on our planet! |

Barn Babies Monday, April 16th 10 am, 10:30 am, or 11am All ages Pick up your tickets in the Children's Room
| Barn Babies, a traveling baby animal petting zoo,is a 100% hands-on experience for all ages and abilities. The menagerie of baby animals includes a diapered baby goat/lamb, piglet, puppies, kittens, bunnies and chicks/ducks. The animals are wrapped in baby receiving blankets in order to make both the animal and handler more comfortable. This special program is part of a fantastic week of April Vacation Week fun, and funded through the generosity of the Friends of the Cumberland Library.
*There are three separate sessions of this program, and each session is limited to 25 children. Choose 10am, 10:30am, or 11am when picking up your ticket. |

| Royal friends, both prince and princess, ages 4-12, are invited to join us in the Community Room. Two princesses from Isabelle’s Princess Parties Rhode Island will entertain our gathering with stories, songs, magic, dancing, and more. Your fanciest attire is encouraged. |

Chick Holding Dates and Times: Monday, April 16th 11:30 am - 12:30 pm 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm Tuesday, April 17th 11:30 am - 12:30 pm 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm Thursday, April 19th 11:30 am - 12:30 pm 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm Session begins April 2nd and runs through May 9th. There will be no storytimes during April vacation week. All Storytimes are drop in. No registration required. Babies and Books Mondays 10 am. Birth to 23 months Babies and their caregivers will be introduced to stories, songs, nursery rhymes, and gentle movement activities. Just for Twos Tuesdays 10 am. Two year-olds Simple stories and concepts will be reinforced using songs, rhymes, and fingerplays. Pajama Storytime Tuesdays 6:30 pm. All ages Children are invited to wear their pajamas and bring a bedtime buddy along to join the fun. Just for Preschoolers Wednesdays 10 am 3,4,&5 Year- olds Engage your preschooler through stories, songs, and movement activities. Please help us provide the best experience for all by selecting an age-appropriate storytime for your child.
