Summer Reading Program The Library's annual Summer Reading Program is coming to an end! Be sure to pick up your prizes by Saturday, August 11th!

DinoManThursday, August 2nd 6pm Ages 4-12 Tickets available beginning Monday, July 23rd in the Children's Room for $.50 per person. Tickets required. DinoMan brings magic, merry mayhem and magnificent props as the audience is taken on a trip throughout the Mesozoic era!

Rock-a-Baby Friday, August 10th 10 am Ages 4 months- 12 Tickets available beginning Monday, July 30th in the Children's Room for 50 cents per person. Tickets Required. Space is limited. Rock-a-Baby Music comes with three performers, three puppets and big books that are sung to original music and correspond with young children ages 4 months to 6 years old! The performers include an acoustic guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist..

Krafty Kids Wednesdays through August 8th 11 am - 5 pm Drop In Grade Five & under Children in grades five & under are invited to drop-in and make a craft.There will be 75 crafts available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Music is fun with Mr. Rowland Saturday, August 4th 10am-11am Ages 0-7 No registration required, but get your free token at the desk the morning of the session(due to room capacity). Songs, dancing, and egg shakers! Mr. Rowland brings his guitar and sings new and classic children's songs.

Bunnies to Books Saturday, August 11th 10 am- 10:45 am Ages 6-12 Register Online! Join us to welcome Michelle Skorupski and her bunnies for an informational program on rabbit care. Children will hear a rabbit related story then be introduced to how to care for a rabbit and what is required to have a pet rabbit. Please be aware that if your child has an allergy to rabbit fur or hay there will be live rabbit to pet following the informational session.

Rhythm for Little Rascals Tuesday, August 7 10 am- 11 am For children ages 1-5 *Please note: an adult must accompany the child for this program. Space is limited! Register Online! Join us to welcome Rick’s Musical Instruments for a new program called Rhythm for Little Rascals. Singing, dancing, instruments and more! This fun program helps children develop a voice and rhythm through sing-a-longs and provides the opportunity to touch various instruments.

Tween Time:Songwriting with Steve Wednesday, August 8th 6-7pm Ages 9-12 Register Online Local musician Steve Johnson will lead tweens through the process of writing a song. No musical experience is necessary, and the group will write and perform together. Tween Time is a time just for tweens, those ages 9-12. Join Miss Kim and Miss Liz each month for a different fun activity. Registration is required!

Introduction to SCRATCH Thursday, August 9th 6-7pm Ages 8-12 Register Online starting July 30th! In this fun coding program you will learn how to create in SCRATCH your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art.

Minecraft Club for Kids Wednesday, August 1st and Thursday, August 16th 6pm-7pm For children entering grades 2-5 Register Online for each individual session. Space is limited. We provide laptops, accounts, and a secure server environment in which to explore and create! Registration for each session is separate and opens individually. Registration for August's Minecraft Sessions will open Thursday, July 19th at 7:30 pm.

Summer Storytime
at the Cumberland Public Library The Summer Storytime Session will run through Wednesday, August 8th!
All storytimes are drop-in, no registration required! Babies and Books Storytime Mondays-10 am Birth through 23 months Connect with your baby through stories, rhymes, and songs, followed by a play time Pajama Family Storytime Monday Nights-6:30 pm All Ages For children of all ages and their families. Put on your pajamas and participate with your favorite bedtime pal in stories, songs, and fun! Pajamas and stuffed friends are optional! Family Storytime at the Gazebo Wednesdays-10 am All Ages For children of all ages and their families. Children and families will meet in the gazebo behind the library for this special summer storytime. Join us for stories, songs, and laughter. In the case of rain, meet inside in the Children's Room.
