Adult Summer Reading Program Register for this free 18+ program either at cpl.readsquared.com or at the Reference Desk. Participation is easy! Read a book, or listen to an audiobook, and submit an entry form with a two to three sentence review and an overall rating. You can submit up to four entries per week. Music at the Monastery: The Strumdawgs Thursday, July 19th at 6:30pm
The Library is hosting its fourth summer series of Music at the Monastery concerts providing a free opportunity to hear some great local bands and musicians on the front lawn between the Library and the Porter’s Lodge on the Monastery Grounds. The second concert will be by The Strumdawgs on Thursday, July 19 at 6:30 pm. The Strumdawgs are an acoustic rock band that plays great music from the 1970s through today. The band features Joe Flori on drums, Gene Washington on bass and vocals, and John Duggan on guitar and vocals. Washington has been playing in clubs since the 1970s. He formerly played with Duggan as part of the Nitefles and is also a member of the Noyz. Flori also plays with the Smokin’ Toads. Check them out on their website at https://www.thestrumdawgs.com. The final concert of the series, which will feature the Jesse Liam Band in its fourth concert at the monastery, will take place on August 16.

Art Group of Northern RI 3rd Wednesday of the Month at 6:00 pm (July18th) Artists of any medium are welcome to join this group! Share your work with other members and be inspired! Each month the group will choose a theme for the next month. Create a new piece based on the prompt or revisit an old favorite. New members are always welcome.

Teen Summer Reading Program Sign up for our online summer reading log now through August 31 st to track the time you spend reading this summer. Read whatever you want to earn points! You’ll earn one point for every minute you read and earn a raffle entry every time you reach 20 points! Raffle prizes include gift cards to shops and restaurants, new books, and other goodies.
